Bermudez, a member of Nogales High School’s Class of 2000, created a cross-border startup community and podcast in March called “Startup Unidos” aimed at helping entrepreneurs and innovators in both Arizona and Sonora, according to the business’ website. She is also a program manager for the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Young Entrepreneurs Academy. In December 2016, Bermudez was named Tucson’s 40 Under 40 Woman of the Year, in part for her work in that role, the Arizona Daily Star reported.  Read more

Bermudez grew up in Nogales, Arizona and was "from a young age encouraged to get the hell out." She moved around — to San Francisco and Phoenix — and landed in Tucson 11 years ago. She worked with downtown investors and developers and encouraged young professionals to get engaged through Tucson Young Professionals and helped launch Connect Coworking. She also runs the Young Entrepreneurs Academy through the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerceand was the 40 Under 40 Woman of the Year in 2016. Read more
